A Glance of Vietnam – 10 Days

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Transfer via: International Airlines – Your own arrangement.                                          

Upon your arrival in Noi Bai International Airport, our guide and driver will pick you up at the arrival hall and transfer to your hotel in the center of the Old Quarter for check in and relax at your own leisure.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise (B/L/D)

After breakfast served at the hotel. Check-out your room and leave the luggage at the hotel’s storage room.

07.30-08.00 Our shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter.

10.30 Stopover in Hai Duong city where you can experience our hand-made Vietnamese handicraft products.

12.30 Arrive in Hon Gai pier.

12: 45 We will welcome you with a drink as you board the Athena Cruise.  Our Cruise Manager will give you a briefing and safety instruction as well as review the itinerary for the day before you check in.

13: 00 Start the buffet lunch while the boat is cruising towards North East of Ha Long Bay.

15.30-17.30 If you want to relax on the boat instead of participating in other activities feel can use our sauna for no extra cost, or chose to relax on our sundeck or in your cabin.

15:45 Visit Vung Vieng fishing village by rowing boat.

16:45 Visit Ban Chan beach for swimming or kayaking.

17:30    Happy hour- buy one get one free  in our bar will be started from 17:30 to 18:45

17:45 On our Sundeck you can participate and compete in our Master Chef Cooking Demonstration with traditional Vietnamese food: Deep Fried Spring Roll and the decorative technique of creating flower carvings from fresh fruit or vegetables.

19:15 A set menu multi-course Dinner will be served.

21:00 Free time on the boat.  Enjoy squid fishing from the first deck of the boat, enjoy the Sundeck and drink service or you can return to your room.

Overnight on boat in the middle of Halong Bay.

Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi (B/L/-)

06:15 We have a Tai Chi demonstration on the Sundeck; tea and coffee are available at this time.

06:45 Breakfast will be served in the restaurant.

07:20 Explore Thien Canh Son cave in Ha Long Bay.  Witness its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.

Note: there are about 400 steps to get up to the cave.

09.00 Check out is from

09.00 to 09:30.  At this time you can put your luggage on the first deck for us to transfer to our tender and settle your bill with reception.

09:15 Brunch will be served at the restaurant on the 2nd deck.

10:30 Disembark to Hon Gai Pier.

12:00 Get on Athena’s luxury shuttle bus. Return to Hanoi.

17:00 Arrive in Hanoi. Drop off at your hotel.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua Cave – Hanoi – Night train to Hue (B/L/-)

8:00 Our private guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel and start our 90km drive through verdant landscape of country side to Ninh Binh province. Short-break en route around 20 minutes half way to relax and experience Vietnamese handicraft products such as lacquer wares, paintings, embroideries, ect.

9:30 Arrive at Hoa Lu, which is once depicted the ancient capital of Viet Nam, settled up in the 10th century.

9:45 Visit temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with a very unique architectures in the old time. These temples are surrounded by beautiful hibiscus gardens, ponds with lotus blossoms and frangipani spreading a delicate perfume. Take time to relax in its airy and reflective atmosphere. Go back to the bus and drive to Tam Coc.

11:00 Arrive in Tam Coc Wharf. Having lunch with Vietnamese cuisines (on your own budget & choice)

12:30 Getting on Sampan boats through caves (2 people share a boat) in Tam Coc dock to drift down the river among the villages, mountains and lush rice fields. Passing through 3 caves “Hang Ca – First cave, Hang Hai -Second cave, Hang Ba – Third cave”

14:00 Back to Tam Coc Wharf to chill out.

Get on a bicycle trip on country road around the village, experience the beautiful scenery of lush paddy fields surrounded by stunning limestones.

Optional: (included entrance fee)

Transfer to Mua Cave, climb up around 486 stone steps up to experience the breathtaking panorama view of Tam Coc – Ninh Binh valley from the top of Hang Mua.

15:45 Farewell Ninh Binh, we will get back to Hanoi.

18:30 Arrive in Hanoi, be dropped off at the train station to catch an overnight train to Hue Imperial Citadel depart at 19.30

Day 5: Hue Imperial Citadel Tour (-/L/-)

Upon your arrival in Hue train station at 8.50 AM, our tour guide come to meet you at your hotel for pick-up. Then depart to visit Hat and incenses stick making village. Here, you have chance to learn how to make a hat and an incenses, exploring the traditional job of Hueian, and you can buy some for souvenirs.

09h30 Car come to Khai Dinh tomb. Unlike Hue’s other tombs, being a synthesis of Vietnamese and European elements. Even the stone faces of the mandarin honor guards are endowed with a mixture of Vietnamese and European features.

11h00 Drive outside of citadel for lunch and enjoy classic Hue cuisine at a restaurant in beautiful garden setting.

13h00 Continue to visit Hue Citadel. Tour guide will lead you to visit the tallest flag pole of Vietnam (37m-hight), Ngo Mon gate where Bao Dai ended Nguyen dynasty, Thai Hoa palace ( Palace of Supreme Hamony), Hall of the Mandarins, Forbidden Purple city

15h00  Bus take you to Thien Mu pagoda which built on a hillock overlooking the. Perfume river, this pagoda is an icon of Vietnam and the symbol of Hue city.

Cruise the beautiful perfume river by dragon boat viewing daily life along the way. Visit some villages and do not miss viewing sunset on the river.

17h00 Drop off at your hotel in Hue. Free at your own leisure.

Day 6: Hue – Danang (B/-/-)

Morning buffet breakfast served at the hotel. Then our car will pick you up at you at hotel and transfer to Danang for check-in your hotel just nearby My Khe beach.

Day 7: Danang – Ba Na Hill (B/L/-)

Ba Na Hills located in the Truong Son mountain range 25 km at an altitude of 1487m, its temperate climate, unspoiled forest, and spectacular views over the city of Da Nang’s awe-inspiring bay and the Lao mountain range made Ba Na a past popular place to retreat for the French long ago. Ba Na Hills – the double Guinness World record breaking cable car, honoured as both the longest and highest non-stop system in operation. However you will experience the cable car ride up to the hills. Upon arrival you will visit to the Ba Na Hills Fantasy Park, is a family entertainment complex. From the top of the hills, you will have a nice panorama view to Da Nang city.

This morning after breakfast served at your hotel, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Danang at 8:00 am and depart for Ba Na Hills.

09:00 Arrive in the Suoi Mo cable car station. Sitting in the cabin, in mid air, looking upon the endless tree lone of the forest. Experiencing the pristine ecological system of the  Ba Na mountain will leave you a sense of unforeseeable discovery.

09:30 Visit the Le Jardin; beautiful flower garden (entrance fee included – free of charge for walking, 70,000vnd fee for tramway, Debay wine cellar (entrance fee included – if you enjoy/taste wines here, you will pay 45,000vnd per glass of red wine and 75,000vnd for glass of white wine) – remains of French Villas and fascinating Linh Ung Pagoda, marvel at its exquisite architectural design. Stand before the massive 30-meter tall statue of Buddha towering in the clouds.

Continue the tour to the lovely Tinh Tam Garden, stand at the Nghinh Phong Peak, and make your way to Vong Nguyet Hill for some spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding region.

Leave Le Jardin for Gare Debay, the second cable car station, to go to the top of Ba Na.

11:30 Have lunch with buffet at Orchid restaurant

12:30 Conquer the Peak of Chua Mountain at the height of 1,487m. Leave Peak of Chua mountain, passing the Suspension Bridge.

14:00  Visit and play game at the Fantasy Park – Ba Na Hills Fantasy Park- the third largest indoor amusement park in the world. Free for joining games in Fantasy Park – the third biggest indoor games zone in Vietnam with series of interesting games: 4 – 5D film, skiver, The death race, dinosaur park. (Free games but except wax showroom, teddy picker game and skill game).

16:00 Return to catch the Cable car to Toc Tien Station and then transfer back to Danang.

17:00 – 17:30 Drop you off at your hotel in Danang.

Day 8: Danang free (B/-/-)

After breakfast at hotel, morning free at your own leisure, enjoy swimming and relaxing at one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.

Day 9: Danang – Marble Mountain – Hoian Walking Tour (B/L/-)

After breakfast at hotel then check out.

At 09.00 AM Meet our driver and tour guide at your hotel’s lobby, we will star discovering the Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngu Hanh Son; literally “five elements mountains”) where you have the opportunity to explore the stunning natural caves of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the mountain. Upon arrival to the mountain, we will take the elevator up to visit the caves and pagodas as well as admire the beautiful panoramic view.

After Marble Mountain, we transfer to Hoian Ancient Town.

Stop for lunch at a nice local restaurant right next to Thu Bon river.

In the afternoon, we start our walking tour with Hoi An History Museum. Visit the historical and cultural museum security meeting, visitors will get an overview of the historical process as well as rich culture of the ancient town.

The next stop is Phuc Kien Assembly Hall. The Phuc Kien (Fukien) Assembly Hall at 46 Tran Phu St is dedicated to Thien Hau, goddess of the sea. There is a site that you cannot miss in Hoi An is Japanese Covered Bridge. The covered bridge, also known as the Pagoda Bridge (Chua Cau), was built by Japanese craftsmen who were part of a larger community of Japanese merchants active in Hoi an.

The last visit of our tour is Tan Ky ancient house. The house is not the oldest in Hoi An yet but its architecture is among one the most typical.

End of our walking tour by a romantic boat trip on Thu Bon River, enjoy beautiful tranquil beauty of Hoi An Ancient Town sunset, then get back to your hotel.

Day 10: Hoi An – Danang free airport transfer – Departure (B/-/-)

Transfer via: International Airlines – Your own arrangement.

Buffet Breakfast served at your hotel.

Hotel check out time: 12.00 PM

Free at your own leisure until transferring to the airport for your departure flight home or to the next destination.
